Issue: Clogged Gutters with Damaged Gutter Screens

We had a request for a free estimate on a one-story brick home just outside of Kansas City from a homeowner who complained of damaged gutter screens and clogged gutters. After inspecting their existing gutter system, it was clear that the gutter screens hadn’t offered protection against debris, allowing debris to still enter the gutters and even tear screens from the weight of leaves and twigs sitting on top of the gutter screens. As you can see in the before photo above, the screen is torn and pointing up at the left corner which allowed the gutters to collect leaves and debris and even caused damage to the asphalt shingles near the roofline.

In the after photo, you’ll notice we cleared the debris and dismantled the old faulty gutter system. This was one of the more extreme transformations we’ve had. When we had a request for a free estimate for a home in Kansas City with existing wood rot damage we knew we had to dismantle their faulty gutter system immediately to prevent further damage. Their old sectional gutters were severely clogged and leaky, causing water to flow over the sides and trickle through tiny openings between sections, eating away at their wood soffit and fascia. As we dismantled their old gutters, we noticed more damage that needed repairing to avoid damage to the roof rafters.
